How much time are you spending on Facebook?

Try as hard as you can, do you find you keep getting dragged back to Facebook, throughout the day?
Every time there is anything happening on Facebook, directly relating to yourself, you’ll find your phone buzzing and whilst you tell yourself not to, you can’t help but jump straight back on it to see what is going on!
And we all know what happens then don’t we? Before you know it, you’re scrolling through your home feed, liking and commenting on, let’s be real about this, mainly nonsense really!
Next thing, it’s ten minutes later, ten minutes of your precious life gone!
Take a look at how long you spend on average per day on Facebook then see how you feel about it.
So, what can you do about it?
*Delete the app
Now that’s a bit of an extreme decision to make. For all the negatives about Facebook, there’s so much good on there too.
*Switch off your phone
Why miss out on an important call or message? Why penalise all the other apps just because your self-control evaporates when your phone buzzes!
*Adjust your notifications
This is my preferred option. Just hit the settings tab, then notifications, then go through the list and decide exactly which features you want to be alerted about. Do you want to know when you’re tagged in something? Do you want reminding about friend’s birthdays? Choose which ones are of most importance and stop the others.
Whichever you decide, the choice is YOURS! Your phone offers far more than just social media apps, but taking some time out to decide which ones are important during your working day is the first step, to what will hopefully feel like a more cleansed mind and a more effective day!
