New social media platform for 2020 from the founder of Wikipedia

Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales has launched a new social media network named WT:Social last month, focusing on news and promising to ensure that user privacy is protected. More importantly, it promises a social media space that is “ad-free.”
Now I know you’ll probably be thinking “oh no, not ANOTHER social media”, but this is going to be nothing like Facebook etc and given the success of Wikipedia, this is sure to be a success.
