To share or not to share?
June 28, 2019
To break up the churning out of sales post after sales post, a good way to break things up is to find a relevant article of the webisphere, copy and paste the link into social media and voila, you have some interesting content for your followers.
So what is wrong with this? Well, nothing really, other than what does it actually achieve? So your follower is interested enough to click on the post and boom, they are gone!
When they return to Facebook they will start at the top of their feed, totally forgetting to thank you for sharing such an interesting article with them.
Imagine if instead, they click on the link, but this time they are led directly to YOUR website to read the article.
I can hear you now, probably thinking “but how the hell am I going to write an article of interest?” You will be surprised!
Are you enjoying THIS article so far? Hopefully yes is the answer!! Well, I’m no copywriter. No degree in journalism etc. I’m just passionate about my chosen topic and I know my stuff.
I’m presuming you know your stuff too? So all you need to do, is decide what topic you would like to blog about, then sit down and start typing. Just speak from the heart. If you need inspiration, scour the net for a relevant topic, read through, then interpret this in your own words and style.
Check through for spellings and grammar then click publish. That’s it. Simple hey?
Now I know that may be able for me to say, but it took me about 4 years to convince myself that I was ‘good enough’ to blog. The fact is, some will like what and how you write whilst others won’t. Just the same as book authors. Some styles you just like, right?
The benefit of all of this is that your social media followers will now be on YOUR website, with the chance of them wanting to know about YOU and your business.
What are you waiting for?…..
TIPS
Use a spell checker app like GRAMMARLY
Use royalty free imagery or your own. DO NOT just search google for one as that is illegal and you will be found!
